Speaker 2: I've got a whole lot of eclectic things in my house. Several years ago I had an eBay business and I accumulated a lot of antiques. At least the people who sold them to me said they were antiques. I've come to believe they were exaggerating just a tad. Anyway, one of the things I'm looking at right now as I'm typing this, is a brass embossed beer, Stein. It's stamped peerage Anglined on the bottom. When I bought it, I thought it was so cool. Now I realize it's just a tchotchke that was probably sold in gift shops all over the world. The last one to sell on eBay went for $999 and I bet the seller was glad to get it. Still. I'm not too upset about it. [coughs] It's a nice place to put my pins and scissors.

Speaker 2: Right next to [coin clinking] that is a little tin coin bank made to look like an eight o'clock coffee can remember eight o'clock coffee. That was good coffee. Well anyway, when I shook it just now the klinken sound made me realize there was still a coin inside. I pried open the lid, and there was a 10 centavo coin from Guatemala dated 2008 you know, I doubt if you could have bought a cup of coffee with it even then, but it's nice to have anyway, just in case.

Speaker 2: Over to my left is a bookshelf filled with real the real magnetic tapes. All of them were recorded in the 1960s and 1970s and feature excruciating Lee bad Organ music played on breathtakingly beautiful theater organants they're all part of a collection we inherited from a theater organ society. If it were possible to get rid of them I would but they belong to my husband so no such luck.

Speaker 2: In between all them tapes in my desk are two large plastic bins containing at least 300 pattern books, giving detailed instructions on knitting, crocheting and Tatton all manner of doilies, tablecloths, Chair backs, runners, really scary looking children's toys, and potholders potholders potholders galore. I bought them collectively at an antique store 10 years ago thinking I'd sell them and make a pretty penny. Well, so far I've yet to recoup my initial investment. Still, it's nice to leave through them once in a while to get some inspiration.
